STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR CADEK MEDIA’S MARKETING CLUB MEMBERS

1. Membership Application and Enrolment
1.1 Membership is open and available to all individuals who wish to advance their marketing, sales, business and networking skills.
1.2 To become a member, individuals must complete the Member Application form and agree to these terms and conditions.
1.3 The Member Application form must be accompanied by a Proof of Payment for the membership.
1.4 The membership application is for an initial 12-month period and is automatically renewed thereafter for 12 month periods until the member cancel its
membership in writing (see Membership Cancellation below).
2. Membership Fees
2.1 Members are required to pay the annual membership fee as stated on the membership application form.
2.2 Membership fees are for a period of 12 months running and is non-refundable.
2.3 Membership fees must be paid in full by the specified due date. Late payments may incur additional charges.
3. Additional Event Fees
3.1 Additional event fees will apply for any in-person and live events organised by the Club.
3.2 Such additional fees will be advertised in advance, and it is the member’s own choice to participate in or attend such ticketed events.
4. Access to Resources
4.1 Members will be informed of, and have access to, marketing resources, tools, and events as organised by the club.
4.2 Members are encouraged to utilize these resources to enhance their marketing skills and knowledge during their membership.
5. Code of Conduct
5.1 Members agree to the Marketing Club’s code of conduct and rules which include:
5.1.1 Respect: Members must treat each other with respect and courtesy, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
5.1.2 Confidentiality: Personal information and club matters discussed within the club should remain confidential and not be shared without permission.
5.1.3 Participation: Members are encouraged to actively participate in club activities and meetings, contributing to the club's success and growth.
5.1.4 Compliance: All members must adhere to the club's standard terms of membership and procedures as outlined in this document.
5.1.5 Conduct: Members are expected to always maintain professional behaviour, avoid conflict with fellow members and avoid any actions that could bring the
club into disrepute or damage its position or image.
5.2 Violation of the code of conduct may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.
6. Confidentiality
6.1 Members must keep all club-related and member information confidential and not share it with non-members.
6.2 The club will take appropriate measures to protect members' personal data as per the POPIA act.
7. Termination
7.1 You can terminate your membership by giving 30-days notice BEFORE the expiry date of your current 12-month membership term.
7.2 The remainder of your current 12-month membership term is non-refundable and no membership fees can be refunded.
7.3 The termination request must be in writing and emailed to info@cadek.co.za.
7.4 Membership can also be terminated by the club for any breach of the membership terms and conditions or code of conduct.
8. Dispute Resolution
8.1 Any disputes will be resolved through mediation between parties.
9. Amendments
9.1 The club reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes.
10. Governing Law
10.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the club head office is located.
11. POPIA and Personal Data
11.1 By submitting your membership application and information for membership, you provide explicit and voluntary consent to the Club Administrators
(CADEK Media CC) to collect, process and store your personal data provided for Membership purposes.
11.2 You further provide explicit and voluntary consent to CADEK Media CC and the Marketing Club to receive marketing and other communication via e-mail,
postal mail, telephonically, messenger applications like whatsapp and Facebook messenger and social media platforms.
11.3 You also agree to receive partner offers through the club’s communication channels as in 11.2 above.
11.4 Personal data will be collected solely for legitimate club activities, such as membership management, event coordination, and general communications.
11.5 Your data will be processed lawfully, fairly, and in a transparent manner. Only data necessary for the specified purposes of the Club activities will be
collected and processed.
11.6 The club will take Reasonable steps to ensure that personal data is accurate, complete, up-to-date and stored securely.
11.7 Members may at any time request that their personal data is updated or removed.
